RAD150 (TLB-150) is an esterified analog of RAD-140 (testolone), where attachment of an acetate ester to the parent molecule addresses the problem of short concentration peaks: after administration, the ester group is slowly hydrolyzed by blood enzymes, gradually releasing active RAD-140. This provides a smoother pharmacokinetic profile without sharp rise and fall. As a SARM (selective androgen receptor modulator), RAD150 binds the androgen receptor in muscle and bone tissue, causing a conformational change that recruits coactivator proteins and triggers expression of anabolic genes β protein synthesis, myofibrillar hypertrophy, bone remodeling. Activation in the prostate, skin, and hair follicles is significantly weaker compared to testosterone.
Molecular modeling and early data suggest the RAD150βAR complex may persist in the nucleus longer than the RAD140βAR complex, extending the anabolic signal even after plasma drug concentration declines. In practice, this means more sustained lean mass gains, better strength dynamics, and fewer fluctuations in sensation between injections compared to native RAD-140. Preliminary data on fat metabolism indicate improved muscle-to-fat ratio through androgen-dependent regulation of metabolic activity in muscle tissue.
Important caveat: RAD150, like all SARMs, suppresses endogenous testosterone production via negative feedback on the HPT axis β the degree of suppression depends on dose and cycle duration, but post-cycle recovery of the endogenous hormonal background must be accounted for in any protocol. Long-term human data are limited; the molecule remains in research status without regulatory approval.
